Youth Emergency Services
Youth Emergency Services (YES) of Pend Oreille County is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to supporting homeless and at-risk youth aged 12 to 24 in the Newport, Washington area. Their mission is to promote stability, growth, and the ability for these young individuals to thrive.
YES offers a range of services, including a drop-in center where youth can access basic necessities such as showers, laundry facilities, warm meals, and meet with case managers. They also provide clothing, food care packages, personal hygiene items, school supplies, and educational assistance.
In addition to their core services, YES actively engages with the community through various events and initiatives. For instance, they participated in the 2022 Newport Autumn Bloom 5K & 10K Run, encouraging community involvement and support for their cause.
By sponsoring the Pend Oreille Sports Association (POSA), YES extends its commitment to youth development. Their support helps provide opportunities for young athletes to engage in sports, fostering teamwork, discipline, and a sense of belonging.
Through their comprehensive programs and community partnerships, Youth Emergency Services of Pend Oreille County continues to be a vital resource for empowering youth and strengthening the community.
